GRS Global Recycling Standard 4.0 certification is an international, voluntary and comprehensive product standard, which stipulates four major parts: recycling content, chain of custody, social and environmental practices, and chemical restrictions, and is applicable to any product containing at least 20% recycled materials product. Each production manufacturing stage must be certified starting from the recycling stage and ending at the last seller in the business-to-business transaction. Material collection and material concentration sites require proper declarations, document collection and site visits. The goal of GRS is to increase the use of recycled materials in products and to reduce and eliminate the hazards caused by their production.
